¶ Pausing Discord Invites
In the event of suspicious join activity or a reported bot raid, you may want to disable our discord invite links temporarily.
¶ Required Permissions/Role
Only those with the Administrator or Manage Server permissions are capable of pausing invites for a server.
The role that grants this permission is Voting Leadership
¶ Process
- Get to the Security Actions menus through one of the three listed methods below
- Once in the Security Actions menus, toggle Pause Invites to ON
- Click Save
Please do not forget to re-enable the invites once appropriate.
You will be able to confirm that the servers invites are pause via the lock on the small pause circle on the server icon and the banner.
¶ Methods to Access Security Actions Menu
- If you have the notification banner at the top of the discord, you can click Edit Security Actions.
- Alternatively the menu should be available by right clicking on the server and clicking the Edit Security Actions.
- Finally, if you would like to pause invites without a security warning in place you can go to Server Settings > Invites
- From Invites you can click the button that says Pause Invites.
